Jewish Vocalists Release "Gates of Heaven" Duet for Wedding and Birthday

Jewish vocal artist Yonatan Stern has released a new duet titled "Shaarei Shamayim" (Gates of Heaven) with his close friend Pinchas Cohen. The song serves as a special tribute, coinciding with Cohen's wedding and Stern's 35th birthday, both occurring on the same day.

The project combines personal joy with a broader prayer for all those seeking a spouse. The lyrics are drawn from the "Slichot" (penitential prayers) and "Ne'ilah" (closing service) prayers, specifically verses that call for God to open the "gates of heaven" and bestow blessings. Stern himself composed the melody and handled the arrangement, vocals, and overall musical production, also designing the cover art and lyric video.

Stern expressed well wishes for Cohen and his bride, praying they will build a "faithful home in Israel" with abundant blessings, love, and joy. The duet's central message is one of prayer and hope, asking God to open the heavenly gates and bring suitable matches to all those seeking them, swiftly and joyfully.
