Turkish Flag on Palestinian Car Alarms Israeli Analyst

Arab affairs commentator Zvi Yehezkeli expressed shock after spotting a Turkish flag sticker on a Palestinian vehicle traveling on Route 60 between the Gush Etzion settlement bloc and Jerusalem. Yehezkeli described the sighting on his Telegram channel as a "small flag and a big message," noting it was a routine drive when he saw the Turkish flag on a Palestinian car.

He interpreted the presence of the flag as a significant indicator of growing Palestinian admiration for Turkey and its leader, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, whom he characterized as the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood who has vowed to conquer Jerusalem and destroy Israel. Yehezkeli stated that Turkey is now seen as the "great savior of the Palestinians," a sentiment he believes was not prevalent a decade or two ago.

The analyst questioned the security forces' response to such symbols, posing a hypothetical scenario: "What would happen if a car in Turkey today was driving around with a small Israeli flag? Is it permissible to wave the flag of Turkey, which is already a strategic enemy?"

Yehezkeli concluded with a stark warning about the operational implications of the observation, equating the display of the Turkish flag to the beginnings of 'jihad'.
