Airport Workers Union Head Blasts Ben Gurion Airport Closure Decision

The head of the Airports Authority workers' union, Pinchas Idan, stated that initial findings from an investigation into the closure of Ben Gurion Airport, which caused significant chaos over a week ago, were presented at a council meeting today. Idan asserted that the airport manager, Zohar Gafen, "hastily ordered" the closure. According to Idan, "there was no reason in the world to close" the airport. He explained that on the day of the incident, workers "simply collapsed from the workload and stopped working," with an additional shift expected to arrive within two hours. Idan claimed that due to delays, the order to close Ben Gurion Airport was never actually given. He concluded by warning that "eventually everything will collapse," and that he is not solely responsible for all potential future failures.
