Likud Coalition Chairman Urges Dramatic Measures to Unite Right-Wing Parties

Coalition Chairman MK Ofir Katz of the Likud party has called for dramatic actions to prevent the loss of right-wing votes ahead of the upcoming elections. Speaking on Galei Yisrael radio, Katz expressed concern over the fragmentation of right-wing parties, warning that if they fail to unite, they risk handing the government to the left, potentially including Arab parties and Avigdor Lieberman.

Katz stated, "None of these fragments currently playing with right-wing votes should remain as separate parties. This will lead to the establishment of Gadi Eisenkot's government, of the left with Arabs and Lieberman. Right-wing parties are handing power to the left with Arabs on a silver platter, this is simply insane."

He further cautioned about the consequences of such a scenario, suggesting that a left-wing government would implement its agenda without supporting soldiers. "The left's plan is already prepared. There will be a government here with Tibi and Mansour Abbas, and without laws for the soldiers, and woe unto us if we are the ones who give them this," Katz warned.

When asked about the possibility of integrating Bezalel Smotrich's Religious Zionism party into the Likud if unification efforts fail, Katz emphasized his desire to avoid such a situation. "I don't want to think about a situation where we don't succeed in making these unions. Everything is on the table so that we don't waste a single vote from the right," he asserted.
