South Carolina Man Charged After Posting His Own Antisemitic Flyers
U.S. authorities have filed a hate-crime indictment against Dalton Morris, a 24-year-old from South Carolina, after he was arrested over antisemitic flyers placed on buildings in a Jewish community complex in Charlotte.
The incident took place in January. Security cameras at the site captured Morris attaching sheets with Nazi swastikas and a noose to the doors of the "Shalom Park" complex, which serves the Jewish community.
Investigators later found a social media post from Morris in which he publicly shared a photo of the flyer and wrote, "Oops, one of our friends left something at the Jewish community center." The post helped identify him as the suspect.
If Morris is convicted on the charges against him, he faces up to 20 years in prison.
