Seven-Year-Old Boy Dies After Drowning in Tel Aviv's Park South Lake

Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv confirmed the death of a seven-year-old boy who drowned in a lake at Park South in southern Tel Aviv. The child was found in critical condition after entering the water with a friend, who exited the lake alone. A civilian kayaking nearby rescued the boy, and emergency medical teams performed resuscitation efforts on site before transporting him to the hospital.

Magen David Adom paramedics, including Shmua Simandoyev, Orel Tolidano, and Georgi Avtissian, responded with multiple ambulances and rapid response vehicles. They found the boy unconscious, without pulse or breathing, and immediately began CPR involving chest compressions, ventilation, and medication. Despite their efforts, the boy's condition remained critical upon arrival at the trauma room, and his death was later declared.

Ichilov Hospital expressed deep condolences to the family. The incident highlights the dangers of water activities for children and the importance of supervision and safety measures in public recreational areas.
