Israeli Volunteers Organize Alternative Voting Route Via Jordan for Overseas Voters

Ahead of the Israeli elections scheduled for October 27, an alternative travel route has been developed to help Israelis abroad reach polling stations amid rising flight prices and limited availability at Ben Gurion Airport or through the Fly&Vote program. The alternative plan involves flying to Amman, Jordan, during the week before the elections, followed by organized transportation to the Beit Shean border crossing, and then continuing to Israel via Israel Railways or private pickup.

According to the Facebook page "Supporting a Free Democratic Israel," the estimated cost for this route is around $100, covering border crossing fees and transportation. Israeli Arabic-speaking volunteers will greet travelers at Amman airport and provide organized transfers. The initiative is led by Gilad Mulyan from Haifa, in cooperation with a local Jordanian travel agency and transportation company that has served Israeli tourists for 30 years.

Organizers emphasize that the project is open to any Israeli citizen abroad wishing to vote, regardless of political affiliation. For security and safety reasons, final registration and information submission will only be allowed for those presenting a valid Israeli passport and a credible social media profile.
