Azerbaijan's Sabah Drawn Against Barcelona and Arsenal in Champions League Group Stage
Sabah FC from Azerbaijan, who eliminated Israel's Hapoel Be'er Sheva in the Champions League playoff round with a decisive 5-2 aggregate victory including a dramatic goal, have been drawn into the group stage of the UEFA Champions League. The draw took place on August 27, 2026, and Sabah will face some of Europe's top clubs, including Barcelona at home and Arsenal away. Both Sabah and Hapoel Be'er Sheva, had they advanced, would have faced the same draw restrictions as they come from countries without another representative in the group stage. The full draw is still ongoing and further details will be announced soon.
