Quickstart

The baba News API returns the Israeli press as structured JSON: clustered events, which newsrooms filed and which did not, the left, centre and right split, Hebrew reporting translated to English, running threads, newsroom profiles, search, the daily brief, and named people.

Everything is GET over HTTPS, every response is JSON, and every request carries one header.

Get a key

Open the console, create your organization with a name and a work email, and press Create key. The key is shown once. Every new organization starts on a 14 day trial of Starter.

What comes back

Every list endpoint returns the same envelope. data holds the records, nextCursor is the token for the following page and is null on the last one, and generatedAt is when the page was computed.

The base URL

https://news.itsbaba.com in every environment. There is no sandbox host: a trial key reads the same live wire as a paid one, with a smaller quota.
