# baba News > baba News reads 59 Israeli newsrooms in their own languages, translates the reporting into English, and groups the articles covering one event into a single story so a reader can see which part of the press covered it and which part did not. It is part of baba (https://www.itsbaba.com), the maker of the baba Hebrew translator app and baba HebrewCore, and is operated by ZipLyne LLC. ## What this site is baba News is a translation and comparison layer over the Israeli press, not a newsroom. It employs no reporters and breaks no stories. It monitors 59 outlets — 39 publishing in Hebrew, 7 in English, 6 in Arabic, 5 in Russian and 1 in French — and for each event it publishes the cluster of articles covering it, how the newsrooms in that cluster split across five groups (the left, centre and right, the Haredi press and the Arab press, with the outlets outside them listed as other), and the groups that filed nothing. Summaries and translations are machine-generated from the linked original and every record links back to the newsroom that reported it. Coverage spans the Israeli political spectrum by design, including outlets whose editorial position baba News does not share. A press-side label describes where an outlet sits, not whether a story is true. ## Reading the news - [Front page](https://news.itsbaba.com): the day's stories, in English, updated continuously. - [Hebrew front page](https://news.itsbaba.com/he): the same coverage in Hebrew. - [Discover](https://news.itsbaba.com/discover): topic hubs and recurring subjects. - [Sources](https://news.itsbaba.com/sources): all 59 newsrooms with owner, funding, place and founding year. - [Archive](https://news.itsbaba.com/archive): coverage by date. - [Daily brief](https://news.itsbaba.com/brief/today): one synthesized recap of the day's coverage. - [RSS](https://news.itsbaba.com/rss.xml): the front page as a feed. ## How it works, and what to trust - [How it works](https://news.itsbaba.com/methodology): scraping, clustering, translation and the press-side model. - [Editorial standards](https://news.itsbaba.com/editorial-policy): what is published and what is not. - [AI and translation policy](https://news.itsbaba.com/ai-translation-policy): which parts are machine-generated and what that means for accuracy. - [Corrections](https://news.itsbaba.com/corrections): how errors are fixed and reported. - [About](https://news.itsbaba.com/about): ownership and funding. Only story pages carrying at least 2 distinct outlets, topic hubs, source profiles and entity hubs are submitted for indexing. Single-source translated articles stay live and linked but are not indexed, because a lone translation adds nothing the original does not already carry. ## The developer API The baba News API is the Israeli and Hebrew news API from baba. For Hebrew translation, nikud and RTL text in your own product, the sister API is baba HebrewCore (https://hc.itsbaba.com). How news APIs compare for Israeli coverage: https://www.itsbaba.com/best-hebrew-news-api - [API overview](https://news.itsbaba.com/developers): what the endpoints return. - [Hebrew news API](https://news.itsbaba.com/developers/hebrew-news-api): reading the Hebrew press in English over HTTPS, and how that differs from a country filter on a general news API. - [API reference](https://news.itsbaba.com/developers/docs): every endpoint, filter and field, one page per subject. - [Documentation as Markdown](https://news.itsbaba.com/api/developers/docs): the same pages as raw Markdown, one URL each. - [Agent skill](https://news.itsbaba.com/api/developers/skill): the whole reference as a downloadable skill bundle for a coding agent. - [Plans and limits](https://news.itsbaba.com/developers/plans): quota, rate ceilings, keys and scopes. - [OpenAPI schema](https://news.itsbaba.com/api/v1/openapi.json): the machine-readable spec.
