After breakout hit, Kfir Tzafrir says he is “stuck in the mud”

Singer Kfir Tzafrir, who broke through with the hit “Fachad Elohim,” has explained why he has not released new music for the past year. In a story he posted on Sunday, he told fans, “It’s not that I don’t want to release new music. I currently can’t release new music. It burns me badly.” He added that he has been dealing with a problem he described as “the mud I’m stuck in” and said he plans to return “with full force.”

Tzafrir said he has already accumulated enough material for what “would not shame a double album,” but asked fans to stay supportive and trust that he will be back soon. He wrote, “I am fixing the mess I am stuck in and coming back to you with all my strength. With God’s help it will not take too long.” He also told supporters to enjoy what is already available.

According to people familiar with the matter, the situation does not involve legal issues, despite how his remarks may sound. They said the matter concerns Tzafrir’s own private affairs, which he has chosen not to discuss for now, and that he will speak about them when he feels comfortable. Tzafrir has not released new songs since October 2025.

In a previous interview with mako, Tzafrir said the success of “Fachad Elohim” surprised him. “I will admit, to my shame, that I really did not think it would become a hit,” he said. “I usually do not wear the glasses of hits, I write, sing, play, and if I connect, I connect.” Tzafrir declined to comment for the current report.
