Noam Batan Opens Sold-Out Concert Series in Tel Aviv with Tribute to Fallen Soldier

Noam Batan launched his five-show sold-out concert series at the Barby club in Tel Aviv's Jaffa port, marking his first public performance in Israel since Eurovision. Performing with his band, Batan delivered a full set including songs like "Michelle," "Buba," and "Madame," as well as his latest single "Always Wanted More." A poignant moment occurred when Batan sang "Opening Eyes," a song written by late Staff Sergeant Yaron Shai, son of former minister Yizhar Shai, who was killed on October 7. Shai's parents attended the concert and heard the song, which they discovered after their son's death, featuring the line "I hope Saturday never comes." During the show, Batan addressed Israeli society, urging unity despite challenges. He emphasized the country's diversity and resilience, stating, "We have so many colors and we are such a beautiful country. It's true that sometimes it's hard for us to be together, but we must try to unite even when we are not at our best or worst moments." He added, "These highs and lows happen so we remember our potential, and our potential is immense. We are the only people who strengthen when pushed to the wall."
