Israeli Premier League Club Considers Signing Goalkeeper Mohammad Abu Neil Amid Transfer Dispute

Despite Abu Neil's reduced role as the second-choice goalkeeper at Sakhnin, the club is resisting releasing him to Ramat Gan. Previously, Ramat Gan had secured an agreement with Maccabi Haifa's goalkeeper Sharif Khouf, but his Achilles tendon injury halted that transfer. Subsequently, the club approached Niv Eliasi, who signed with Greek club Levadiakos, and Omer Nir'on, who remains with Maccabi Netanya despite a lucrative offer from a newly promoted team. Due to a firm desire to recruit an experienced Israeli goalkeeper, Ramat Gan is now considering Abu Neil, even though the club's young goalkeeper, Amit Reif, has performed well. The transfer negotiations remain complicated as Sakhnin refuses to release Abu Neil, and Ramat Gan insists on adding a seasoned goalkeeper to their squad.
